Maintenance Inspections to Ensure Safety and Equipment Functionality
All Suspended Powered Platforms dedicated to the building are required to undergo a maintenance inspection and function test prior to the start of a work cycle and where the work cycle is more than 30 days to confirm the equipment is functioning properly and minimizing any and all setbacks. OSHA 1910.66(g)(3)(i)
A maintenance inspection and, where necessary a test shall be made of each platform installation prior to the start of a work cycle and where the work cycle is more than 30 days, such inspection and/or test shall be made at least every 30 days during the work cycle. This inspection and test shall follow procedures recommended by the manufacturer and shall be made by a SIT company.
The building owner shall keep a certification record of each inspection and test performed. The certification record shall include the date of the inspection and test, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and/or test, and an identifier for the platform installation which was inspected. The certification record shall be kept readily available for review by the Division and by the employer.

Hoist Motor Repairs, OSHA Mandated Annual Inspections, and Sky Climber Required Certifications
FEIS has a team of technicians at our service center who are factory trained and certified by Sky Climber. We are able to provide our customers with hoist motor repairs, OSHA mandated annual inspections, and Sky Climber required certifications.
Hoists and equipment can be maintained on an as needed basis, or our team can work with you to set up an annual maintenance program to keep your equipment performing like new.
